There’s something about the start of football season that makes me think about preparation and planning. Before the first snap, there’s a game plan. Coaches have studied the competition. Players know their assignments. Everyone knows the goal. But once the game begins, things rarely go exactly according to plan. The defense changes. A play doesn’t work. The clock starts working against you. Suddenly, the team has to adjust. You can have a plan, but eventually, something unexpected will happen. The question is how you respond.
