The greatest asset in our business is our colleagues and the combined knowledge that is shared amongst us. I look for the helpers and gravitate towards those who are “successful” and generous with their knowledge and heart. That is exactly what the Rise to Elite program is all about.
Having Kyle as my coach is one of my most fortunate events – the combination of kind, disciplined, & encouraging accountability that he provides is invaluable. My first experience with this in our first meeting – I smiled and confessed I did not complete my homework. Instead of saying, it’s ok, we’ll come around to you next time, you said, “is it okay if we spend a little time and go over it together now?” We then proceeded to have a very fruitful discussion that helped me understand you as a coach, your expectations of me, and my responsibility as a student – all done with no judgement.
Beginning – The business I was running was unsustainable with feelings of guilt and constantly feeling rushed – I needed to assess my goals and really know the type of business I wanted to build and work.
Today – Simple, practical solutions for building the practice that is sustainable and successful. I’m better at understanding my personal definition of success, better about scheduling work, & utilizing my calendar to block off business building time and guilt-free time off.
It was a great help to be able to break down the simple formula of:
If I want to achieve this ___________________.
Then I have to do this _____________________.
It’s simple, but it’s even simpler when you have a great coach!
I have been in a growth mode for some time, however, I would classify my efforts for tracking current prospects and progress towards growth as unstructured. After working with Kyle and using the tools he introduced I have found the structure needed for continued growth without adding administrative burden.
Kyle’s leadership throughout our group time was excellent. His approach was highly positive while still maintaining a level of accountability and motivating challenge. He has the ability to quickly identify strengths and areas of improvement while not being presumptuous on his conclusions and observations. He asked the right questions to gain understanding and confirm agreement or to pivot as necessary.
Today, I am not yet perfect but working toward perfection. I have greatly defined and refined my growth goals for 2026 using the Goal Tracking Sheet Kyle provided during Rise to Elite. I am specifically targeting Advisory growth. In November 2025 I was able to convert to advisory one of my larger prospects on my 20/20 list – $1.2million added to advisory. This was a long process as I originally expected it to be. I have also identified opportunities within my current client base and have documented those in the Goal tracking sheet by client name, associated dollar opportunity, and anticipated annual revenue. Also on the agenda are two marketing events. The first is targeted for March and the second for late April or early May. I am especially excited about the May one because it is directed toward CPA firm owners for the purpose of expanding their referrals.
